There are also <a class=\"reference internal\" href=\"#topic-third-party-email-backends\"><span class=\"std std-ref\">third-party email backends</span></a> available that integrate directly with ESP\nAPIs or add other sending features.</p>\n<p>During development or testing you often don’t want to send email at all.\nDjango’s test runner <a class=\"reference internal\" href=\"/fr/6.1/topics/testing/tools/#topics-testing-email\"><span class=\"std std-ref\">automatically overrides</span></a> the\n<a class=\"reference internal\" href=\"/fr/6.1/ref/settings/#std-setting-MAILERS\"><code class=\"xref std std-setting docutils literal notranslate\"><span class=\"pre\">MAILERS</span></code></a> configuration to substitute Django’s <a class=\"reference internal\" href=\"#topic-email-memory-backend\"><span class=\"std std-ref\">memory email\nbackend</span></a>.
