reallows the use case of binding\nto a specific port following the <a class=\"reference internal\" href=\"/en/dev/releases/1.11/#liveservertestcase-port-zero-change\"><span class=\"std std-ref\">bind to raise <code class=\"docutils literal notranslate\">ImproperlyConfigured</code> rather than\n<code class=\"docutils literal notranslate\">GDALException</code> if <code class=\"docutils literal notranslate\">gdal</code> isn’t installed, to allow third-party apps to\ncatch that exception (<a class=\"extlink-ticket reference external\" href=\"https://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/28178\">#28178</a>).</p></li>\n<li><p>Fixed <code class=\"docutils literal notranslate\">django.utils.http.is_safe_url()</code> crash on invalid IPv6 notranslate\">django.contrib.auth.authenticate()</code> when multiple authentication\nbackends don’t accept a positional <code class=\"docutils literal notranslate\">request</code> argument (<a class=\"extlink-ticket reference external\" href=\"https://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/28207\">#28207</a>).</p></li>\n<li><p>Fixed introspection of index field ordering on PostgreSQL (<a class=\"extlink-ticket reference external\" href=\"https://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/28197\">#28197</a>).</p></li>\n<li><p>Fixed a regression where <code class=\"docutils literal notranslate\">Model._state.adding</code> wasn’t set correctly on\nmulti-table inheritance parent models after saving a child model\n(<a class=\"extlink-ticket reference external\" notranslate\">defaults</code>\nargument of <code class=\"docutils literal notranslate\">QuerySet.get_or_create()</code> and <code class=\"docutils literal notranslate\">update_or_create()</code> to\nreallow settable model properties (<a class=\"extlink-ticket reference external\" href=\"https://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/28222\">#28222</a>).</p></li>\n<li><p>Fixed <code class=\"docutils literal notranslate\">MultipleObjectMixin.paginate_queryset()</code> crash on Python 2 if the\n<code class=\"docutils literal notranslate\">InvalidPage</code> message contains non-ASCII (<a class=\"extlink-ticket reference external\" href=\"https://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/28204\">#28204</a>).</p></li>\n<li><p>Prevented <code class=\"docutils literal notranslate\">Subquery</code> from adding an unnecessary <code class=\"docutils literal notranslate\">CAST</code> which resulted in\ninvalid SQL (<a class=\"extlink-ticket reference external\" href=\"https://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/28199\">#28199</a>).</p></li>\n<li><p>Corrected detection of GDAL 2.1 on Windows (<a class=\"extlink-ticket reference external\" href=\"https://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/28181\">#28181</a>).</p></li>\n<li><p>Made date-based generic views return a 404 rather than crash when given an\nout of range date (<a class=\"extlink-ticket reference external\" href=\"https://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/28209\">#28209</a>).</p></li>\n<li><p>Fixed a regression where <code class=\"docutils literal notranslate\">file_move_safe()</code> crashed when moving files to a\nCIFS mount (<a class=\"extlink-ticket reference external\" href=\"https://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/28170\">#28170</a>).</p></li>\n<li><p>Moved the <code class=\"docutils literal notranslate\">ImageField</code> file extension validation added in Django 1.11 from\nthe model field to the form field to reallow the use case of storing images\nwithout an extension (<a class=\"extlink-ticket reference external\"
