As such,\nDjango 1.0.1 contains no new features (and, pursuant to our\ncompatibility policy, maintains backwards\ncompatibility with Django 1.0), but does contain a number of fixes\nand other improvements. Previously, literal strings passed\nto
join
were automatically escaped, contrary to the\ndocumented behavior for autoescaping and literal strings. Literal strings\npassed to
join
are no longer automatically escaped, meaning you\nmust now manually escape them; this is an incompatibility if you\nwere relying on this bug, but not if you were relying on escaping\nbehaving as documented.

\n

Improved and expanded translation files for many of the languages\nDjango supports by default.

\n

And as always, a large number of improvements to Django’s\ndocumentation, including both corrections to existing documents and\nexpanded and new documentation.

\n
\n
","rootId":"django-1-0-1-release-notes","toc":[{"title":"Fixes and improvements in Django 1.0.1","anchor":"fixes-and-improvements-in-django-1-0-1","children":[]}],"breadcrumbs":[{"docname":"releases/index","title":"Release notes","url":"/en/dev/releases/"}],"prev":{"docname":"releases/1.0.2","title":"Django 1.0.2 release notes","url":"/en/dev/releases/1.0.2/"},"next":{"docname":"releases/1.0","title":"Django 1.0 release notes","url":"/en/dev/releases/1.0/"},"formats":{"html":"/en/dev/releases/1.0.1/","markdown":"/en/dev/releases/1.0.1.md","json":"/en/dev/releases/1.0.1.json"},"source":"https://github.com/django/django/blob/main/docs/releases/1.0.1.txt","official":"https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/releases/1.0.1/","inVersions":["dev","6.1","6.0","5.2","5.1","5.0","4.2","4.1","4.0","3.2","3.1","3.0","2.2","2.1","2.0","1.11","1.10","1.9","1.8"],"inLocales":["en"]}
